ALBION DISTRICT LIBRARY TO HOST SUPERHERO COMIC BOOK PRESENTATION WITH
    MARVEL COMICS ARTIST

ALBION – Albion District Library is hosting Marvel Comics illustrator Jerry DeCaire on Saturday,
May 4 at 12:00 p.m. for a Superhero Comic Book presentation.

DeCaire is known for his live-drawing workshops in which he sketches characters the artist has
illustrated over his 30-year career in the comic-book industry. He will discuss the craft of art and
illustration, and share what it’s like to be an artist. DeCaire will have artwork available for free
and for purchase, including the sketches completed during the workshop.

DeCaire has drawn a number of Marvel’s most-beloved characters, including Thor, Deadpool,
Wolverine, the Punisher, and more. DeCaire is currently awaiting the publication of “The
Which-When-Man,“ the story of a time-traveling vigilante determined to prevent a dystopian
    future from ever taking place.

This event is free and open to the public. Intended for patrons in grades 5-12, as well adults. No
    library card is necessary.

For more information, contact the library at 517-629-3993 or send an email to pubsvcs@albionlibrary.org. The Albion District Library is located in downtown Albion at 501 S. Superior St. at the corner of Superior and Ash.
