The historic Bohm Theatre in Albion continues their 11
th season of Blues at the Bohm on May 4 with one of Milwaukee's favorite Blues bands, Reverend Raven and the Chain Smokin' Altar Boys. With smooth guitar work, hot harmonica, and a mix of original compositions and Blues standards, this promises to be a great evening of live music in Albion. The show begins at 7 p.m. with a 90 minute set by the headline act, followed by a Blues jam with local musicians until 10 p.m. Tickets for the show are $25.00.
You can tell by their name that they like to have fun, but this talented band is deep in talent and Blues history. Rev and his band have been regulars at Buddy Guy's Legends in Chicago for over 20 years, as well as touring in the Midwest and nationally. He backed up Madison Slim for 10 years. An added bonus for our show will be harmonica player Westside Andy. Endorsed by Hohner harmonica, He is considered one of the finest Harmonica performers today, in company with greats such as Rod Piazza, Toots Thielemans, & Corky Siegel.
The historic Bohm Theatre in downtown Albion opened in 1929. The theater was saved and renovated by the nonprofit Friends of the Bohm, and reopened as a community center for arts entertainment in 2013. "Blues At the Bohm" features a unique format leading off with the headline band at 7 p.m. for a 90 minute set. After a short break, the stage is reset and opened for a Blues Jam with local musicians until 10 p.m. All Jam musicians are welcome, and can register at the door. Jammers also receive a 50% discount on tickets to the show. Make your plans now to be at the Bohm in Albion on May 4 for what promises to be "The Best Monday of the Month."
