Come to In-Fluence Studio for a Reverse Audition. A Reverse Audition is your chance to check us out. Try a short warm-up and some movement. Experience Kristy Clements' teaching. Learn about our upcoming June 6th performance.
Then, if interested, community dancers will commit to a rehearsal schedule in April and May, and to perform on June 6th. Dancers will learn a role in a brand-new contemporary dance piece made especially for them!
No dance experience is required. Dance is for everybody. Yes, every body! All we ask for is a willingness to try new things and a commitment to attend and do your best.
All community members ages 10 and up are welcome! Participants must be at least 15 years of age to attend on their own. Dancers ages 10 to 15 are welcome to participate with an adult present at rehearsals.
There is NO COST to participate. It's free. We teach; you dance!
To be involved in the Community Dance Project you must attend one of the Reverse Auditions: Wednesday, April 1st from 6 to 8 p.m., or Saturday, April 4th from 2 to 4 p.m. The studio is located at 600 E. Michigan Ave., Room 204, within Albion's First United Methodist Church complex.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows full range of motion (no jeans). Bring clean socks, slippers, dance shoes, or go barefoot on the studio floor. Street shoes or boots cannot be used on the dance floor. Bring a water bottle.
