Albion Historical Society Calling All Golfers to Swing for the Museum
 
          The Albion Historical Society will hold its annual Gardner House Museum golf outing at Whiffletree Hill Golf Course in Concord on July 19 at 9:00 a.m.  All proceeds from the tournament will be used for the upkeep of the historic museum.
          There have been no cost increases this year!!  The cost for golfing in this event is $60 per person ($240 per team) and is a four-person scramble format.  This cost includes 18 holes of golf, door prizes, prizes for first and second place,  50/50 split, hot dogs at the turn, a delicious lunch, and more!  Individual players are welcome and will be matched to a team.  The society also has many $25 hole sponsorship opportunities available and will gladly accept donations of prizes. 
          While the board of the Albion Historical Society works hard to keep the Gardner House in fine form, Celeste Connamacher, current president of the society, noted, “We recently discovered that a portion of our fence was hit by a vehicle.  The damage was significant.  Funds raised this year will help us determine how best to to proceed with the fence.  We are so lucky to have true stewards of Albion's history both on the board and in our community!”  In addition to operating the Gardner House Museum, this non-profit cares for thousands of artifacts,  provides  speaker series, and educates the public about Albion's local history.
