An interactive music performance and open-mic with QueenEarth/QueerCore takes place Friday, March 13, at 6 pm. in Albion College's Bobbitt Visual Arts Center. QueenEarth, aka Melissa Smith, is a traveling performance artist who shares stories about her own relationship with her identities through music and poetry. An open-mic session will follow her performance and all audience members are invited to come up and share, whether it be in the form of poetry or story. This event provides a brave space and a safe space for all participants. This event is sponsored by Albion College AAUW, Black Student Alliance, and LGBriTs in conjunction with Women's History Month.
