Fluence Arts Organization presents The Missy Wyss Celebration of Dance - an evening of dance featuring nine original works performed by community members and professional dance artists. Named in honor of the founder and director of the former Albion College Dance Program, the performance will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in Goodrich Chapel on the Albion College campus.
Thirteen amateur and professional dancers will come together to make this special event possible. Guest artists from HBY Ensemble (Detroit, MI) and Demetrius Klein Dance Company (Hamilton, OH) will travel to Albion to share their artistry. Together, these dances bring more than 160 years of combined dance experience, offering insight into the art form's enduring legacy. Attendees will also experience new choreographic works by Artistic Director, Kristy Clement, created for a cast of six community dancers, along with performances by Ashley Miller and Angie Dickinson, experienced dancers from the greater Albion area.
Tickets are available online or at the door with suggested donation of $10. Visit www.fluencearts.com for more information or to reserve your tickets.
On Sunday, following the performance, Demetrius Klein will teach a master class at In-Fluence Studio (600 E. Michigan Ave., Room 204, Albion, MI). The class is open to ages 15 and up and welcomes dancers of all experience levels. The class is free to attend and will take place at 1 p.m. on June 7.
