DESCRIPTION:Tickets available on eventbrite up until March 20th. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/858169527157\n\n\n\nThis 4-week course covers topics related to wine and wine tasting\, with Wednesday night classes from 5:30-7:30pm on March 20\, 27\, and April 3 and 10. In each class we will taste 5 wines\, from different places\, different grapes\, and different types. Cost of the 4-week course is $65\, which covers the wines and other materials. Minimum class size is 10\, and max 20.\n\n\n\nThe basic structure of the course is the following:\n\nWeek 1   Sensorial Analysis and Wine Service\n\nWeek 2   General Information about wine   History and development\, types of grapes and wine\, and production methods.\n\nWeek 3   Old world production areas\n\nWeek 4   New world production areas\n\n\n\nAbout the instructor: Mauricio Marengoni is a college professor in Computer Science at Albion College. Mr Marengoni was born in Sao Paulo\, Brazil\, and started taking courses on wine and beer about 20 years ago. He received a Sommelier degree in wines from Senac Brazil\, specialization in Brazilian wine by The Brazilian Institute of Wine (Ibravin). In addition\, Mr Marengoni has earned a Sommelier degree in beer from The Science of Beer Institute in Brazil and a technical degree in beer production by Senai/Invicta in Brazil.\n\n\n\nMr.Marengoni has visited wineries in:\n\n  The Yarra Valley in Australia\,\n\n  The Alentejo\, D o and middle Douro in Portugal\,\n\n  Bento Gon alves\, Vale do S o Francisco\, Serra Catarinense\, and Santana do Livramento production areas in Brazil\,\n\n  Sonoma and Napa Valleys in US\,\n\n  Valle de Uco\, Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza\, Argentina\,\n\n  Canelones\, Rivera\, and Montevideo in Uruguay\,\n\n  Maypo valley in Chile.
