SUMMARY:Sadie Bass at The Franke Center
DESCRIPTION:The Franke Goes Country \n\nWith "The Voice" Standout Sadie Bass\n\n \n\nUp-and-coming country music star and reality TV standout Sadie Bass will take The Franke Center stage on Saturday\, January 27th at 8pm ET. Country music singer/songwriter Sadie Bass has released six studio singles and opened for dozens of national acts including Brantley Gilbert\, HARDY\, Chase Rice\, Tyler Farr and more. She was recently a contestant on season 22 of NBC's 'The Voice'\, starred in two seasons of Outdoor Channel's "Hunting for Love or Likes"\, and has been featured on Sportsman's channel's "MTN Top Outdoors" and Discovery's "Bassquatch Hunter".\n\nThe concert is a part of The Franke's Michigan Star series\, featuring up-and-coming stars in the Michigan music scene. Bass grew up in small town Bath\, Michigan and spent much of her childhood playing sports\, hunting\, and fishing. For most of her life\, Sadie sang behind closed doors\, but at age 19 she felt called to start seriously pursuing music. In the same month\, she left college and her softball scholarship behind her and went all in on her music career.\n\nHer real passion is connecting with people through her music. "Whenever I am playing a show and see someone in the crowd singing along to one of my originals\, or when someone messages me saying they related to my lyrics during a tough time\, it's the best feeling in the world" Sadie commented in a 2022 interview. It is that feeling that ultimately pushed her to make the move from her home town to Nashville in December 2020. She aspires to pave the way for other female artists in music\, and hopes this is only the beginning for her successful career.\n\n"I first saw Sadie when she opened for Billy Ray Cyrus at the Calhoun County Fair a few years ago\," said Jacob Gates\, The Franke Center's executive director. "She was such a dynamic performer\, I immediately knew we had to have her at The Franke. The show was initially scheduled for spring of 2020 but had to be canceled because of the pandemic. So\, this show has been a long time coming\, and we're thrilled it's finally going to happen."\n\nThe night of music will kick off at 7pm in The Franke Center's Downstage Club with a preshow by another great Michigan singer-songwriter\, Rin Tarsy. Tarsy's music is a delightful mix of country and folk influences. Her inspired singing and playing\, combined with her passionate\, insightful songwriting\, make every song she plays a memorable experience.\n\nFor tickets and information\, visit The Franke Center's website\, TheFranke.org\, or call their box office at 269-781-0001.\n\nThe Franke Center for the Arts programming is supported in part by funding from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts.
